Deathly Hallows - Post 2 - Chapter 7-10

Chapter 7
“I open at the close…” weird… I’ll have to think about that one.
Deluminator too, strange.
I don’t, for one second, believe that Hermione got a book of children’s stories. Come on, its in the runes! Two to one if she reads it upside down its something else.
Still hate Scrimgeour…
Nice one with the Snitch in his mouth, ha ha.
Arthur’s Patronus is a weasel, ha ha! Classic. Nice to see exactly how they communicate with them too. Very interesting.

And finally, on to the wedding. What sort of horrible event will occur here? Harry’s scar? Death Eaters? Double wedding?

Chapter 8
And there it is. I was beginning to think Muriel was the horrible thing that would happen at the wedding but there it is. No more ministry. There goes half the protections at the Weasley’s and now everyone must (probably) flee for their lives. Kinda good riddance to the Ministry though at the same time. Though that would give Voldemort control of the Floo network. Which, if I’m not mistaken, would allow him to enter basically any home through it… Yikes.
I really hope Harry doesn’t actually believe Dumbledore killed his sister…
This trip to Godric’s Hollow may reveal more than I thought…

Chapter 9
Gotta love Hermione, eh? Good kid.
Interesting to see the two muggle-raised hiding out with muggles.
How did the Death Eaters follow the kids? Hrm…
I really though Moody was alive for the briefest of moments…

Kreatcher! Still spying on Malfoy, isn’t he? Sweet. I’m kind of excited for this. Maybe that is how Malfoy turns good, Kreatcher brings him into the good side on Harry’s orders…

Chapter 10
Ok, maybe not still following Malfoy. But well done Rowling. I thought I knew more or less what was going to happen with R.A.B. but this was much more interesting. Never saw Kreatcher factoring into it. Very nice.
I knew Fletcher got a hold of it though. Hopefully he sold it to Aberforth…

Deathly Hallows - Post 1 - Chapter 1-6

So I'm going to do a who knows how many part series on Deathly Hallows. Basically, these are my thoughts, as written, while reading the book. This is the first six chapters. It thins out near the end as I couldn't stop reading at all. so if you've gotten through chapter six, continue with no worries.

First thing first, don't read this if you haven't read the book.


Chapter 1
Malfoy’s are finally getting at least a piece of what’s coming to them.
Who the hell is the prisoner Wormtail is taking care of?
Meh to the death of the Muggle Studies teacher. Was a little worried it was Minerva.

Chapter 2
I like knowing more about Dumbledore’s life. Very interesting.
Hee hee hee, Dumbledore isn’t gone, and the mirror does have meaning!

Chapter 3
Wow, Dudley isn’t a douche anymore. Good to see. I like the change.
I also love that muggles love Shacklebolt.

Chapter 4
I hate you Rowling. I really do. First Sirius, then Dumbledore, now Hedwig? What the fuck is wrong with you? I’m so pissed off.
And Hagrid, it looks like, is dead. WTF! He can’t be dead too. Its way too early in the book for this many deaths.
Did kinda like the Poly-Juice Harry’s though, but can’t help but think it may have just been something she thought may have been cool to see in the movie. Why not just apparate? I’m confused… Can the ministry tell where you apparated to? Why not just take Harry in a car?

Chapter 5
Well, I thought it was Moody, I’m going to miss him. Knew someone had to be dying because of the chapter title. Just glad it isn’t Hagrid. Though I still don’t trust Mundungus…
Man, Snape using sectumsempra on George… wow… Another point in the Snape = Evil column.
Grrr, still pissed Hedwig is gone. No reason for that one.
Harry’s wand acting of its own accord, or of Dumbledore’s accord? What if the Phoenix that gave its feathers for the two wands weren’t from Fawkes after all. But from Dumbledore in his animagus form? Another point in the Dumbledore is dead but not gone column.
Also, shouldn’t Harry be looking for horcruxes and visiting Godric’s Hollow? Oh, Deathly Hallows? Nah.

Seems like a lot of questions are already being answered somewhat.

Good stuff so far. One more chapter then bed.

Chapter 6
So Hermione and Ron have gotten protection in place for their families, good.
The ghoul is meh to me.
So far I like the Delacour parents.
“Merlin’s saggy left…” classic
Horcrux books, a little convenient.
Interesting stuff on Horcruxes though. Good to know and makes sense.
So glad they aren’t going back to school. I had worries not everything could fit into this book, but the lack of lessons and exams really helps things. It allows them to search for the Horcruxes without having to pause for other things, like Quidditch, heh.

Wow, already around 1/7 through. So much to digest so far, and so much left to read. Ha ha, 4am, sweet.

Looking forward to Dumbledore’s will tomorrow. I was actually thinking about it very briefly at Border’s tonight when someone suggested Harry getting a job with the Weasley twins and I mentioned his sizable fortune which grew with the death of Sirius. I thought Dumbledore may leave him something. Looks like I may be right. I’m guessing the Horcrux books are in there somewhere, maybe some gold. Hopefully the Pensieve with some useful memories.

Bed time. Chapter 7 and more tomorrow… I’ve decided not to set my alarm. To let myself sleep and then, when I’m good and rested, to continue. Thank God for Mac and Cheese to keep me from starving while reading.

When it Rains...

Thankfully, I like the rain.

So I didn't get the Warner's job, for now, who knows long term. But I had an interview this morning, have two tomorrow, and was given two leads on jobs by a friend of mine. So fingers crossed I get one of them and can move out of Westwood, get my own bedroom and pay less for rent. So yeah.

Other then that still reading Potter and I saw Phoenix on Wednesday morning (12:01am). It was alright, bugged me a bit, so many changes and omissions.

Also, I think i lost my camera...

...but i only needed 3.

Plan C worked. Plan B would have taken a month or so to get a phone shipped to me. so my mom and I went to the Apple store, leaving the house around 6:15 or so. We got there at 6:45 and there was still a long line. And almost as soon as we got in it they told us we were fine they had plenty of both models left.
So we got in, got out phones, and they did still have quite a few iPhones left. they must have sold close to 500 at that store alone. So Apple, well done on a launch where you met demand. I'm impressed.

How Quickly One Moves From Despair to Excitement

Well, Plan B looks to be moving along. the Apple Store is down! Back by 6pm!!!!! Here we go!!!!!

iPhone Woes

So it looks like iPhone Plan A isn't gong to work. But its ok, there's a lot of letters in the alphabet. So now, the new plan is to hope online at 6pm and order one through the Apple store and hope it will be delivered on Sat. If not, I'll ship it to Los Angeles and get it there. Either way I'm getting one eventually, just not too sure when. We'll see after six.

In other news I'm in Galt and Harry just got the Marauder's Map from the Weasley twins.

And so, it begins...

Yes, the moving is done. the packing is done, the cleaning is up to Jay now (sorry). and I am about to head out the door as soon as I shut down this computer.

Unfortunately next door there is stuff for six people because two of the people not here this summer decided it would be a good idea to leave everything here, including clothing, apparently. But oh well, its only six weeks, and the kids living there are all good kids.

Also, Kyle... Note to self: Maybe move your extra bed behind Paul's. As in move Paul's out a bit and put your mattresses behind it, or the desk. This whole double high thing isn't going to work.

And with that, I'm off. Have my iPod charged, my Podcasts loaded, my Potter books playlisted (new word!) and now its off to get gas and drive home. Hopefully I'm there by ten or so... yikes.

And Now the End is Near...

So here it is. 10am on my last day in the apartment. Wow. Three years here and more memories then I can... remember? Hopefully I'll be out of here by 1 or so so I can head home. And hopefully my paychecks also come in the mail so I can pay rent, ha ha.

So packing will continue very soon, as will the Potterness. 1/4 through Azkaban now. Well ahead of my goals for the week. I figured it out and I need to listen to about 3 and 1/2 hours a day of audio. not sure how many pages that is. No time for physical reading right this moment. But yesterday, I got through 8 hours. So I'm looking good so far.

Alright, packing time.

Flight of the Conchords

So, I just watched the first episode of the show named above and all I can say is "Wow."

I really enjoyed it. the songs are ridiculous and the rest of the show is funny as well. I dunno, I like it. It's like if you took Tenacious D and had it make less sense, which i like.

Also, I finished Chamber of Secrets and have moved onto Azkaban. I am going to try to get halfway through it tomorrow, during the 5 hour drive home, we'll see how long I can go before I have to switch to music, ha ha.

Ok, more cleaning/packing and Potter...

Packing Potter

So packing sucks. but not as much as the cleaning. If I could just throw all of my stuff into boxes and move them form point A to point B I would be happy. But instead I must also clean and figure out where on the street we're leaving furniture and how in the hell we're getting out way too large couch downstairs. We damaged the wall across the hall getting it in. Fortunately no one ever noticed so we haven't had to pay for it.

I spent two hours cleaning the kitchen floor. but all the parts I could reach are clean now!

Though, on the bright side, I did finish the 2nd Harry Potter book. Meaning only four more to read/listen to before the 21st and the release of Deathly Hallows.

Still ridiculously excited about the iPhone. Reviews have started popping up and are mostly positive, so that's good. Ooohhh, I need to cancel power and cable and such. Oops. Gah, and change all of my addresses to the new apartment. Ugh.

Oh well, Potter!!!!!!!
